A question for the pros - Are you pro!?
Hello everyone
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
I've been trying to get lean for a while now and in order to stop myself from cheating I booked in a photoshoot for the 3rd of January. That way when I think about eating bad food I will remember that I have to be bikini ready in x amount of days
Just wondering if I should take carbs out of my diet completely until the shoot?
Also do I not drink water for a certain period of time beforehand? Do I eat something sugary before the pictures get taken so I look more toned? I've heard all these rumors and I just want somebody knowledgeable to help me out
Thanks!
x

No
No
Carbs will only help if you are lean enough
(Sorry no pro here)

no dont remove carbs, but there are a number of factors that go into creating a proper diet to shed bodyfat. You have to be hypocaloric, calories in calories out. No matter what your macros if you arent in a deficit you wont lose. Your need a balance, protein, carbs, healthy fats. A severe deficit of any of those and it wont work either. Dont need to drop water. If you want you can ramp water up to 2 gallons leading in, then just drink 1 gallon the day of or sip up the shoot so you dont have to use the bathroom the whole time, the slight water deficit will allow your body to continue to shed water, dont rely on tricks.
You will be better off asking a specific question to your needs or posting your stats, pics and current diet or proposed diet plan.

Thanks, I don't know my current stats, my pics are in my profile, the most recent is the '5 weeks' one. My proposed diet plan is mainly eggs, green vegetables, almonds, protein shakes. I'm a vegetarian.
My main question is how to look really lean in the shoot and drop the most amount of fat possible until the day. My thighs are my main concern

I am not a pro but if you want to drop fat and get your legs to look leaner I would Highly recommend doing HIIT cardio. Before I did HIIT cardio i never had cuts in my legs no matter how much cardio I would do. But after doing HIIT cardio I finely got quad striations.

perhaps, but if she isnt adding carbs, as she states in what she is currently eating this is a fast way to lose muscle as we all know HIIT burns glycogen as its fuel source, the fat loss benefits come later on as you are now burning more cals at rest. HIIT needs glycogen to fuel the workout.
if she adds some carbs then yes this would be a good way to go, some carbs prior and some carbs after.
