    Protein bars & upset stomach

I had one of those Met-RX meal replacement bars as a part of my lunch today and it felt as if my stomach was about to rip open and bleed out. I have never felt this effect from any of my whey protein or casien powders before, only from the bars. Is there any particular reason for this?

Check for sugar alcohols on the label too as they can do that.

Some bars lie on my stomach like a brick. Some make me feel vomitous after a few bites. Others are ok. I am guessing this is just not an ideal protein bar for you.
