    search function sucks...cutting weight?

    so i weighed myself tonight at 153 with shirt/pants/socks/boxers on. instead of staying in the 165s my coach said i should cut to 148 since it's probably the last time i'll be able to do that anyways.

    the elite total for 148 teen in the UPA is only like 1375 and I could smash that so now I'm pumped to cut the weight. only problem is I don't know how? they have 24 hour weigh ins and i know some people will sit in a sauna for a while, but the meet is like a 2 hour drive for me. would that be a problem?

    any advice/tips would be great

    six hours before.... get in a hot bath tub till u sweat for like 15 mins get out in a towel and sit int he a/c repeat and make sure u have an accurate scale!... oh **** never mind u only have to drop 5 pounds... cut ur water, spit cup and sweats... it's cake to loose jsut five people loose alot more in just hours!

    well if it's only five pounds cut ur water in the am the day before the meet and food in the afternoon... and weigh ur self when u wake up put on sweats and get a spit cup... the tub is a bit extreme for just five pounds u kno what i mean? and just **** and piss ur brains out!

    haha, how do you get a guest pass? just walk in and ask for one or what? i have a24 hour fitness membership but it's only for the one here by my house

    Ya, just ask. Only downside is that you may have to put up with the selling and stuff...but if you want an easier time for the weigh-in, you could just take that route.

    Laxatives! Just kidding, just try sweating it out and rehydrating with some gatorade after weigh in.

    I wouldn't advise running or anything though, I did that to make weight one time and my legs were still sore the next day at the meet. just bundle up in some sweats or sit in a sauna or hot tub.

Submerge yourself in the hot bath for 20-30 minutes, then let the hot water of the shower run full blast while you stand in there and continue sweating. Also, bundle up in sweats and put the heat on full blast for the car ride.

    I could get a motel room for the night but it wouldn't really be worth it since its only 5lbs, im poor, and its only a ~90min drive lol. thanks for the tip on the heat in the car though, i didn't even think of that. damn it's gonna be unpleasant lol

    I have an hour drive to Diablo, what I do is turn my truck into a dry sauna

    I put on 3 layers of clothes and crank the heat full blast, it takes about 15 minutes to start sweating.

    I typically lose 4lbs during the drive

    I have 2 liters of gatorade and 2 liters of water.
    there is a great mexican joint not far from the gym. Giant burrito works great for putting weight back on.
    also BP & J sandwhiches on whole grain bread.
    eat and drink all day.

    I can put on 10lbs in 24hrs
