    Carbup/first time keto/acne

This is my first time ever doing keto, I started yesterday (monday) and am getting the keto fatigue and brain fog right now, so I should probably enter keto in a couple of days. I am doing keto for two reasons: to lean out and because I really believe it will help clear my skin up.

I had a question about carbups though, are these more like cheat meals or are they actually beneficial to weight loss? Reason I ask is that I would rather not have so many carbs for my skin's sake, but I would be willing to take a minor hit if it is actually helpful. The food on keto is good enough that I don't really feel like I would really want a cheat meal anyway.

If they are actually helpful, then would you suggest doing my first carbup my first weekend (about 6 days after cutting carbs) or on the second weekend (about 2 weeks after)? I was planning on doing only a meal rather than a carb day.

i don't do keto but do have the issues with carbs and skin as well. same goes for them effecting my hair (it gets dry and gray) and even bleeding gums.. how many carbs are you planning for 1 meal? if its something huge you are better off spreading them out over 1 or even two days

I hadn't really though about my carbup meal/day yet if I were to do it, but you are probably right, it would be better for my skin to not spike my insulin or anything so high with a massive carb meal.

I don't have a great deal of acne but my complexion isn't usually spotless. I've been on Keto for just under two weeks and I've noticed my complexion clean up.

Minimising my milk intake, increased water intake, being on Keto and taking 4 fish oil capsules seems to have helped (that and improved sleep through better regulation of my hormones, vice-versa).
