What does an extremely strict, intense cutting diet look like?
If I'm eating salmon and nuts every day should that be enough fat so as not to lose muscle gains?

There is no perfect cutting diet. It will depend on you, your size, your age, your weight, lean muscle, what your exercise regime is, are your lifting? are you doing cardio? Do you want to maintain massive muscle or are you going to sacrifice it for fat loss.
Sorry for the lecture but its not a one size fits all and everyone has a different opinion on what is best regarding your macro split.
