Anyone done it? What are the positives and negatives side of it? (no mail order bride)

Assuming she isn't doing it for the passport. Are there any drawsback once she is here in terms like getting driver license, getting a job, and etc?

Did it 16 years ago. Wife is from Ireland.
Make sure you get her visa status straightened out before you marry. It's not automatic and can take several months to get depending on country.
She may be very home sick for the first few months so be prepaired.

She can enter the US on fiance's visa, but you have to apply for it, and then wait. Once here I think you have a year to marry.
Or get married in her country and have your marriage certified by the US embassy. This can take some time as well.

If your looking for a really hot girl, go to eastern europe (Serbia, ukraine, poland, russia). There are so many hotties there who want to leave their country and they love Americans.
Countries like Italy and Germany are much harder.

You apply for it through the INS. They get pretty picky out the info they need. Bank accounts, educational level. They will also ask for your tax returns, so you have to prove you can support her. You are going to have to sign a guarentee that she will never be on social welfare.
Met her while on business, in Ireland. My job had me in Ireland 1 or 2 weeks every month or so.

Getting a job really depends on her level of education/skill and where.
If the girl is British born and went to Cambridge, I doubt she would have a problem finding a job anywhere in the US (or in the world in that matter). But if she's one of those Thai bar girls and never went to highschool, that's a totally different story.
And who the fcuk cares about if she did it for the passport or not, it's already an established fact that all women are diggers in one form or another. If she didn't do it for your passport, it would be your house, social status, money, etc. It's all the same. Just think about if YOU like her.

LOL NO thai bar girl brah. She have a bachelar degree. The only drawsback is that her English isnt too good so that may take her sometimes to find a job.
All are repped.

Bachelor degrees in Asia is kind of useless outside of Asia. And I can guarantee you that with only a Bachelor degree, she won't be finding a job as good as you might expect. Her verbal English isn't going to determine her ability to find a job if she has specific skills (i.e. engineering) but even then, schools in Asia are still not well recognized outside of Asia, no matter how "international university rankings" rank them. For e.g., Peking U is #1 in China, but leave China, it doesn't mean ****. And I know from experience many people in China who dream about marrying outside of China, thinking how life would be better, only to be disappointed and going back to China.
If you give me more info I can give you a better answer.

What kinds of info do you need?
I mean, I m not asking her to make a lot. I can support the both of us, but its nice for her to work as well even if she doesnt make much.

Trust me, you don't know what she's thinking and it's definitely not as a simple issue as you think. You have no clue what life is like growing up in Asia and what it means to marry out, you have to realize what issues are at stake. As far as I know, you seem like a guy who just happened to find someone who seems to be a good wife, and she happens to be in Asia. And you think her moving here with you, life would be "perfect".

You got some good points. I really don't have a clue how life is there.
She does seem like a good wife material. She also has a job as well. I have heard many bad stories so I m kinda hestiating to pursue it further. You don't think its worth it?

I'm not saying that it's either worth or not worth it. She has a good job now, meaning that she WILL lose her current job, and will most likely be doing a menial job when she moves to the US. She WILL NOT find the same paying job she had, and she WILL be out of work for a period of time. Knowing this, you have to ask yourself if you have the financial ability to take care of her financially without her questioning your financial abilities to take care of her. If she does, there will be many issues in the house--you will think she is a gold digger, and she will think you're a loser who can't even take care of her wife. You know what's next. She probably has the image of the USA as some sort of utopia where everyone will live the "American dream" once they get there. And upon realizing this isn't the truth, she's not going to be very happy.
But having said that, I don't even know her background, her dad could be a top Chinese Communist Party official and she didn't have a work a day if she chose not to, and genuinely fell in love with you.
It just seems to me that you don't even know what you're getting into.

She is from a middle class family there so she is not poor or any thing.
I agreed that there will be a long period of time before she can find works here which I don't mind at all. She is not the type that only want to be a housewife. She is willing to work.
I do have to get to know her more tho and being up questions openly. This is just a thought for me since she seem to be a legit down to earth person. We are just friends now and not thing serious has been disgusted. I just want to know more about it with the pros and cons that people have been through just incase I decided to take this route later on.
Btw, does pre-nup works with this?

Pre-nup's only protect assets which you own prior to marriage. If you own house, retirement accounts, etc. anything you aquire after maybe up for splitting, especially if she work's and contributes $$$$$.
Most are only good for 10 years, then things get to muddy to reconstruct.

Its case by case scenerios. I have known some people who are involved in this type turned out great. And I known some became miserable and regretful.

Yes they are still valid. She should get her signiture witnessed by her legal council. If she can't read english "WELL", get your lawyer to translate into her native language. She has to get legal council before she can sign. This will avoid a later claim she didn't understand what she was signing.

You already know the answer, you don't have to ask us for permission.
I'm intend to work in Hong Kong after I finish school, probably find a wife there or something eventually. But I intend to live there, I'm okay with living there for the rest of my life and having my kids grow up there. I don't know your situation, but if you actually go to where she is, live there for a while, you'll get to know the situation better. It seems that you don't even know this person very well, did you meet her online?

OP hasn't even talk about anything serious with said girl, and he's already anticipating divorce. This will not end up well.
