I like it because i love seeing my body transform, i like looking good, and i like being healthy.. and people seem to like you more when you got muscles lolol

Mostly sore
I made a renewed push Jan 1st because I started to notice that I was really slipping again after losing 30 pounds for a vacation to Hawaii a couple years ago. Had promised myself I wouldn't again. So it was a pride thing to some degree.
But my biggest drivers were turning 40 and my wife & kids. Want to stick around as long as I can so it's about just making a commitment to stay healthy and take better care of myself.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

it's helped tremendously in the self-esteem department. looking in the mirror and seeing muscles instead of a bleached skeleton is just awesome. and of course, the satisfaction of "problem-solving" your weak points, the development of a good work ethic, getting the feeling that you're doing something other people aren't.
i don't know if being noticed more often and feeling more respected is just happening in my imagination, or if it's a result of the muscles or the improved self-image, but it too is pure awesomeness.
buffgrk, i'm diggin the leonidas beard (need i say it? well just in case...no homo)finally got back into the weight room today to see where I'm at a lil over a week from the injury. I got good and warm before attempting anything, but I noticed in certain lifts I had to pay extra attention to keep from crapping myself...

I love the knowledge and discipline I've gotten from it. Hopefully in years to come I'll also enjoy great health and a decent looking body.
And poon.Ultimate goal: to engage in a healthy lifestyle which I can sustain and enjoy for
the rest of my existence. No "diets", no "cycles". Just constantly improve.
Let no one persuade you by word or deed to do or say whatever is not best for you.

Enjoying being in better shape. I've lost 100 pounds since my fat days, and am far stronger and more muscular now than I was back then.

It makes the baseball go far.
Plus lifting is fun as hell. I think that's why there's so much overtraining. We love lifting, so we wanna do it all day, every day!New life in place of old life
