I always found it odd that every time I began supplementing with ALA, it seemed as if my hair began to thin...and it was quite noticeable...diffuse thinning....it looks as iff this has happened to others as well, judging by the comments posted on the link below........I would appreciate the comments of anyone out there currently supplementing with ALA who is experiencing hair loss/thinning....

I have read it discussed on forums before... about the only theory I could think of would be because it can interfere with biotin... both are alike chemically and possibly taking high doses of lipoic acid for a long period, along with suboptimal levels of biotin, could creatine a deficiency... biotin is needed for healthy hair. This is not a commonly reported experience.

i have actually never heard of that, but now that you mention it, i have been thinning like nobody's business for the past three months since i've starting including ALA into my regime. i recently started using cayenne and 5% mino to solve this, but i'll hop off of ALA soon and see if that was the culprit.
