Why not do cardio after weights? I would take the shotgun, lift, then do cardio.

A 5-10 minute warm up is different than 30-45 mins of intense cardio, which are you doing? If it is just a quick warm up, there's no problem and I would take the shotgun before this. If it is a prolonged cardio session, I would move it after the weights.

I don't do cardio before lifting simply because I don't want to waste my energy. Also there is a belief that after lifting your glycogen stores are depleted, and doing cardio will target fat stores.

if you're only doing 20 mins., just take it after you've finished.

i usually do the same as jake in that i take my pre-WO supp., weights, then 45-60 mins. cardio, then i take my post-WO supp., whatever it might be.

not hatin' on you and not really speaking to you directly... more of a generalization, but i've never really understood why people "warm up" on the treadmill for 5 mins. before lifting... if you were doing legs, i could understand it to some extent. but why not just warm up with the weights themselves?

a couple warm up sets of, say, incline dumbbell presses would certainly elevate your heart rate as well as prime your muscles for the following lifts without really sapping any energy that's been rerouted to expend on the treadmill.
