Stretch marks and competing
Hi all, would having a good amount of stretch marks across the abdomen/pectoral regions prevent a person from being able to compete on a professional level? Any input is appreciated and good answers will be responded to with reps. Thanks!
Mods, if this is in the wrong section, I apologize.

Tan and protan helps. All pros have stretch marks.

Yeah, I had heard that spray on tans and lotions can greatly diminish the appearance of stretch marks, but I wasn't sure if judges would mark you down a great deal because of it. Thanks.

Don't worry bout them, they won't detract from your physique. As the other guy mentioned once you've got the tan on (and your under the stage lights) you won't be able to see the marks.
Good luck bro, and don't worry, the judges won;t mark you down for stretch marks!

I think that they should just say, “Hey, if you guys don’t talk, you have to see Hercules In New York.” I guarantee those guys would talk much faster. You don’t need to do waterboarding or anything else. That’s the ultimate threat.''

I'm no judge but serious stretch marks really do deduct from a physique i think

i dont think it would matter that much
cause judges also arent looking from this close distance ...add the lighting and tan
it would be hard to see stretch marks even that big

Dont over complicate things which should be relatively simple... stick to the ABC's of bodybuilding.

We're all gona make it
Stretch marks are fine. Just go out and get some damn sunlight....Darken up a bit.
Also, when you have low bodyfat it tends to show less. Stretch marks won't go away but after time the pinkish/ugly look to dem fades and they look better.

it's not the stretch marks, it's because he looks like hell. Stretch marks didn't bother anyone at junior nationals where he won...
It's because he looks like utter crap
