OP you may also want to look into some l-theanine to take on days that you won't be taking phenibut. It is a direct precursor to GABA and will give you an anti-stress, relaxing, and should help with focus.
I've got bulk Phenylethylamine and L-Tyrosine on the way now. The place didn't have Phenibut though.
Should I wait and try these out first? Mainly for social anxiety and depression. Been using 5htp for about a year now on and off. The effects seem to be gone.
I'd try them out first, they may help you and then you wouldn't even have to deal with worrying about the bad side effects than phenibut could potentially cause. Also phenibut can't be used daily, so it will be nice to find something that you could use for most of the week (always important to cycle) and won't cause unwanted withdrawal effects.
It depends on the person but IMO pea should help you out with social anxiety and for sure depression. For social anxiety you may also want to look into L-Theanine. It is a direct precursor to GABA, so it should help you very much in being more relaxed and easy going with people. I have taken and still do take L-Dopa which is what L-Tyrosine converts into I believe and it may help you out IMO.
If those do not cut it then my next step would be to check out the L-Theanine, and other things such as Kava Kava and Valerian Root.
