Havent been going heavy on squats for months now. Normally only do 5 sets x10 135lbs anymore. BUT trying to get back to heavy. It actually felt better then it normally did. I seem to always tweak my back so easily with 300lbs. Was just happy and thought I would share.
This was my squat routine tonight...I know its only one set, but you think the form is "ok?" It seems really hard to get my bum down farther even squatting with no weight at all. Just my crappy body..
135lb 2sets x10
225lbs 2sets x6
300lbs 1set x6
225lbs 2sets x10
135lbs 1set x10
Only videoed my 300lb set..

Thats the first time I videoed doing 300lbs though. Im going heavy again so I have to get into form again. Of course I will do 135lb easier. I have always struggled with 300lbs and over. Its really hard to keep good form for me as my body dont want to bend like that and come back up lol...PLUS with all that weight my dumb gout was hurting a little and starting to even cramp on me..hahaha...So I was having to get R done or be in pain.
AND again...I workout while WATCHING Friends not listening to Friends music..lol..I dont listen to any music as Im hyped up enough. I dont want to jump out of my skin...hahalol

Yeah, you might try experimenting with different stances....some people do better with narrow, and some wider. If you have problems with 300+ only, it could be the weight is too heavy. If you have depth problems with lighter weights, it could be a flexibility issue, in which case trying a wider stance (with knees pushed out) might help. In any case, good luck with the heavy weights!

I wouldnt be toooo hard on him - good effort. Maybe a bit deeper and maybe a bit more upright.
I am jealous of anyone who can get under a bar and then...get both hands to the bar.. I get under and get one hand and the other is stuck about 12-13 inches out the front and I simply lack the flexibility to get the other hand there.......
Hence...I use a device that attaches to the bar and has bars running perpendicular to the bar. works ok then

If a guy's working harder than me - doing more than me - he fking well deserves to beat me.

You're about 20˚*above where you should be, but that's been mentioned. I don't know how low you normally go, but you should make another video with 225 so that we can critique it.

Its not FRIENDS nor is it ROCK...
OK this is 135lbs I just did this morning to get a form check. Keep in mind that im TRYING to straighten up on the back and squat a little deeper. I have my feet farther apart to help out but still just cant feel comfortable straightening up anymore. I feel like im gonna fall backwards. AND trust me I have bad balance and will fall..lol..OH and enjoy the music with my THUG moves at the end.. lol YO!! word to ya motha..

Honestly, you gotta go lower than that.
I recommend you find the right weight for you to be able to do this:
Then, work your way up from there.
It also may just be a flexibility issue. Get serious about increasing your flexibility (I'm doing the same thing right now) and it will help tremendously.
I have seen better results using lighter weight and full range of motion rather than trying to impress anyone with numbers. Both of us work out in our own homes; nobody is watching. You only have to impress yourself.

I have the exact same problem as Mikie does. I can't go ATG even with no weights. When I have to warm up a pitcher (I am a baseball coach), I can't squat down, it kills my knees and I have no balance. I spread my feet apart, feet pointing out, weight back on my heels, but can't get all the way down with my squats. Some folks just do not have the ROM to do a proper squat.

Right here is the true answer guys. I have tried a hundred times to squat just with body weight and can not for the life of me do anything like the pictures and videos I have seen. I just dont have that ability.
14 years of construction 20+ homes built,20+garages,several additions, thousands of miles of concrete, digging ect ect. have taken their toll on me. My boss was so cheap that he never bought what was needed to do the jobs with ease. SO I was always the "ONE" to do all the s&*( work. Crawling on my knees scrapping floors for carpet, tile ect instead of buying a pole scrapper. It ruined my knees pretty bad. I mean I cant even squat down in walmart to look at the games and dvds on the lower shelves.
Its all I can do just to squat as well as I am. BUT I will try even harder next week. I dont ignore tips and tricks at all...I try. I post back. I either do it right or not. Im trying here people. Just give me a chance. And if thats my form on squatting hey, at least im doing them. AND it must work some cause my legs have always been sore still after all these years of doing them.
