Genetics Poll: Once & For All, Flex Wheeler Or Phil Heath?
Before Phil Heath came on the BB scene and was nicknamed the "The Gift" for his obviously very nice genetics, there was Flex Wheeler who was considered by many as the most gifted bodybuilder ever.

u have to wait some few more years to see whats coming out from Phil heath......then u can judge and compare him to one of the greatest of all time
I was hoping to contribute to this thread positively.....But obviously the op finds a way to turn every thread into Pat-Bashing one....
To answer the thread topic(Which only a few would do...)...IMO Flex Wheeler had incredible genetics...If you'd like to then compare 93 Wheeler with today's Phil.
Phil is a top-notch bodybuilder...wins on the mass game...but Flex had a more aesthetic body.
cant really say. Flex is def top 3 all time. Phil is only in his 1st olympia. Lets see what phill looks like in 5 years. Then we can have this "prime" vs "prime" talk.

There are 2 roads you can go down with bodybuilding...and both bring respect...we are all doing it for the same reasons...can't we just respect each other whichever road we take.
Flex has a better structure (probably the best of all time). Heath has more musclebuilding potential.
I wouldn't say Flex had the best structure of all time due to his narrow shoulders, however it was amazing due to how tiny his waist was. He does have a better one then Phil though.
but yea phil heath i think is genetically more gifted
unless flex was really lazy and could have tried alot harder... but i think all that is bull****...
i also think heath has more dedication and wants it more than flex did... i also think that heath could improve his back from a top ten back to a top 3 back over the years... if he can do half of what dexter has done with his lat sweep he will be looking good for an O.
its like a piece of the puzzle... attaining some lat width by slabbing on mass alone onto a genetically poor bodybuilding frame (relatively of course)
only thing is dexter had a wide structure to work with...

Everyone knows he had narrow clavicles. A front double biceps shot doesn't show that. If you post him in MM or lat spreads, it is much more apparent when you compare him to others.

Not necessarily. His tiny waist gives a better V taper. He was never the widest guy on stage when he competed.
