Let's talk about Metallica.
Anyone's a fan? I started listen to them when i was like 13 with the Album "Ride the lightning". I quited after the black album (that i really liked) and i've never listen to Load or Reload (except the song mama said). Now, with Death Magnetic i think they do some great music again.
Long life metallica!

I really like the Kill Em All album. Not a fan of Reload but the one before is good. All in all, I don't think I will ever get sick of Kirk's style of guitar madness.

I agree about Kirk except i've been a little bit disappointed with some solos on DM. i reallt like the solo on The unforgiven 3, it's short but efective.

Load is miserable.
And as far as Kirks style. It has not changed since 1980.
I think you will be safe there.

To me.
Death Magnetic blows the past 15 years of music out of the water. However, the whole album is just recycled Puppets/Justice riffs.
Some of the song structures are the same as well.
It is a step in the right direction. That edge is returning but the creativity needs to resurface.

My first tape was Metallicas Kill Em All. I stole it from my dads collection when I was about 6 or 7. I don't like the last 2 albums but everything up until St. Anger rules hard.

Like wise, pretty much to the T like you stated. Death Magnetic had to grow on me though. Only because I was a bit skeptical and was ready to be disappointed. Needless to say that I was pleasantly surprised and I'm diggin the hell out of it. It brings that excitement and energy back to when I was teenager listening to them. Man I've missed that hardcore edge they had.

Hell is worth all that...
Black album and slayer hell awaits were my first ever CDs I brought. I still have them today

One was the first metal I ever heard, and I've been in love with Metallica since then(1989 or 1990?). That being said, they dispersed after Load in my mind. I like to pretend that anything from Reload on that wasn't S+M didn't exist.

Death magnetic is what load should have sounded like.

Saw em last week. Metallica cut off beer sales at 9 PM, before they even went on stage. What bitches they have become. Attorneys seem to be running the show in Metallica's world now.

Wyzzrd of fasting
they were an average thrash band that decided to start making ****ty enough music to the point where it makes me not care about their decent early stuff.

I'm just glad they found their groove again. Everything since the BLACK album was a let down. Death Magnetic is the rebirth of the Metallica I used to love. I'm going to try and catch them on tour for the first time in about a decade.

hmm, not at the show i went to.
must be a VENUE thing, not METALLICA.
just maybe some **** that goes on isn't metallica's fault? or is EVERYTHING metallica's fault to the IGNORANT public?
that same IGNORANT public still has no clue to the truth about the American gov't and it being ran by evil elite international bankers.
things will never change.

If Lars got away from the trash can crappy sound and back to the days of tight precise drumming Metallica would sound a whole lot better. I like the new album, but some of the drums is just plain sloppy sounding.
I am going to see them in January though!!!

This spot on.
I have been to over than 50 concerts. All the of the beer sales have been cut off at different times.
I also used to work at a venue.
It also depends on the type of band/act playing.
For rock/metal shows we cut it off at the beginning of the final band taking the stage.
For bluegrass/country/dance recitals/etc we didn't cut it off
It is all the venue.

Lars is not creative anymore.
Every single song on Death Magnetic sounds the same.
