Need a Healthy Alternative to Oatmeal

Just about everywhere i go to try and get a grasp on a good meal for training, I see oatmeal for at least one of the meals. The problem with that is I HATE OATMEAL!!! So if anyone knows a healthy alternative to oatmeal, i would appreciate it.

How many other meals do you eat in the day? Maybe 5 or 6? Okay, what do you eat during those meals? Whammo. There's your answer.

Nothing says you have to eat oatmeal (or eggs) for your first meal.

If you've been eating Quaker oatmeal, I'd recommend trying a different brand of oatmeal before you forever banish oatmeal from your diet. I personally can't stand Quaker, but I love this other brand called Hilltop Hearth Quick Oats. It's much smoother and creamier than Quaker, which I find has an unappealing grittiness to it. If I hadn't found Hilltop Hearth, I wouldn't be able to eat oatmeal everyday. Try out some other brands; not all oatmeals taste the same.

    Quinoa
Yorkshireman I: Right! I had to get up in the morning, at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill and pay mill-owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our dad would kill us and dance about on our graves, singing Hallelujah!

    The perfect oatmeal

    1/2 cup oats (dry measure)
    1/2 a chopped apple
    2 TBSP Natty peanut butter

Pour oats in bowl and add fat free milk or water. Put in microwave for 2 minutes. Stir in your peanut butter and apples. Top with splenda and a little cinamon.

Scrumptous. And sticks to you for hours on end.

I do the same for cream of wheat as well except instead of pb I use sliced almonds.

Blueberries, strawberries, and peaches are a good sub for apples too.

    I just LOVE hot cereal.

Whole grain toast, granola, cheerios (made of oats), any kind of decent whole grain cereal, I also just like to do cold oats with milk, some whey, splenda, cinnamon, and raisins.
I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Our only limitations are the ones we accept.

Seeing how much I can increase strength, endurance, and athletic performance while maintaining approximately 190 lbs and single digit bf.

How novel, someone who hates oatmeal asking for alternatives rather than ways to force it down. OP- this is a good thing, congratulations. I'll even forgive the lack of searching.

Healthy alternatives could be another high fibre whole grain cereal, a big shake, meat/fish/cottage cheese + veg/fruit, eggs (omelette, poached, boiled, scrambled, whatever), PB on toast, protein pancakes, 'healthy' french toast, protein muffins/slices........ The list goes on.

Basically anything 'clean' (before someone jumps on this, OP asked for 'healthy' options) that includes complex carbs, protein and fat makes a pretty good start to the day.

Grind it to a fine powder in blender, then add milk, and a banana for consistency. Chug in less than 15 seconds. There ya go, oats in your system.

That depends on how "clean" you perceive it to be.
