who do you think is the greatest bodybuilder of all time and why but heres the catch you can say anyone beside Arnold.

Lee haney. He took it the furthest with size, without compromising the aesthetics that make bodybuilding appealing. Now you just got mass monsters which are all doomed to have giant waists as their careers progress

Mike Mentzer is one that always motivates me. Not a bodybuilder myself and he was never really as well known as Haney or Yates or Arnie but a damned intense dude with alot of passion, that beats titles anyday

Mentzer lost to Arnold by a hair in his final Mr. O attempt. That was the golden age of body building. But the greats of the past couldnt hold a candle to people of Ronnies caliber, he is too massive, too shredded, they would dissapear in his shadow

Thats true and as I said that was my favorite time of body building but theyd still get wasted if they ever stepped on stage with any of the huge specimens of today. The bar was raised when Ronnie first stepped on the scene

No doubdt,Ronnie IS an 8x Olypmia winner,that can never be un-written

But look at modern guys like I said Dennis Wolf,or Tony Freeman.Huge mass with a v taper!

ronnie had a giant v-taper when he first came onto the scene... not so much anymore. With todays drugs bodybuilding careers go down the drain fast... and these modern guys are very young to the scene.. they got time to get real great and then just fall apart like everyone else is.

i dont think it will be as bad in the future though, hopefully things continue like they did this year. not as much pressure to get huge as possible and sacrifice aesthetics now that cutler/coleman are pretty much done.

although it is weird to see a 5'7 235lb mr olympia instead of a 5'9 270+

I know....yup....but Freeman for example and Dex are veterans and they have what it takes
