Splenda Bad?
As you probably know Splenda is made by taking sugar and linking it on the molecular level with 3 molecules of Chlorine thus making it impossible for your body to digest the sugar as it normally would.
However, I was recently listening to a health based radio program as I drove through New York City and the guest was at the time discussing how new studies have shown up to 20% digestion by the body of splenda. Not too bad if you simply consider the fact your body is getting 20% sugar where it would normally be getting 100%, however Chlorine is a poison and by imbibing these chlorine particles you're basically slowly poisoning yourself.
Now please note that this is a SLOW process and splenda is usually eaten a little bit at a time, and because its a fairly new product we don't yet have any long term evidence on whether this will or will not have any detrimental long term effects, AND the source is totally unknown to myself I don't live in New York and was only driving through because of work so I can't reference the station or anything. So does it bloat your face, no idea, but I thought I'd share this random fact/heresay with you. The only fake sweetener I now use are the little pink packets and then only in moderation.
I'm a newb to this eating healthy thing so take my info/advice for what it is (newbie rumor).

Ditch the fake sugar... there is no safe fake sugar. Check out www.mercola.com for info on fake sugars.
Better to ditch sweetner and then use just a little real sugar when necessary. Which means giving up the diet softdrinks!I'm Buddha-sized and full of wisdom... and fat.
