I wondered how long this thread would take to appear after the Couture fight...

He's actually pretty weak compared to his weight. During the previews it said that he could bench 225 lbs. 40 times. Thats really not that much for a guy that big.

All I know is that he once responded to "How much can you bench?" with "Whatever I want.". For some reason I believe him.

according to an old SI from his college wrestling era:
He can deadlift 720 pounds, squat 695 and bench-press 475

This seems correct, his squat might be little off but in general the bench is probably correct since most WWE athletes can hit close to 500 since they are all big roid users and close to 300lbs. I would definitely believe those #'s. I don't believe his 40 time though at least not at his wwe weight.
UFC looks a lot more like WWE everyday though, I mean that supposed knockout by brock was a joke. It's all about ratings.Last edited by someonefat; 11-17-2008 at 02:32 PM.

On an interview with kurt angle he said he can bench 650 and squat 900+ without serious training. I think i also heard him say he can bench over 600 on a spike tv post ufc 91 interview too. But then agian ive also heard him say he can bench what ever he wants lol.
And btw Couture lost fair and square. Lesner beat the crap out of him. He is very fast and powerful and that overcame Couture even though he had the upper hand in technique and experience. It happens.
It also happens the other way like when bob sapp gets beat by 165 lb guys and cries.Last edited by chuckshuldiner; 11-17-2008 at 04:22 PM.

He doesnt have small legs. Small calves yes.
Alot of strong powerful athletes have small calves, especially if they are at a lower bf%.
Calves are mostly a slow twitch muscle so its no surprise someone powerful like brock has small calves. No point in building them up really.
