Water from increased carbs. It is impossible to gain that much weight from either fat or muscle in so little time.

Depends...if you dont care about the water weight then carry on, if you do then reduce the amount of carbs you eat a little bit. Its just water weight so it can be shed fairly easy.

the transition is weird I think. I feel the body is just so used to being carb-less, that it has trouble re-adjusting...at least for me it did. When I came off of keto, or even every carb up, I'd go from 169lbs to 180lbs lol

Water weight should taper off and you should get back to normal. I go through this every time I get done with a show. I end up gaining like 12 - 18 lbs in like 2 days and after a week or so I am back to normal. Give it time your body will adjust. Coming off keto is hard on your body, two weeks might not have been enough to get your body used to normally eating again.

Do you look a lot different?
When I shift from cut to bulk, I gain about ~5 lb in the first week.

I'm with Roo on this one... When I did keto over the summer it took me forever to get back to eating my normal intake. I'm talking well over a month and a half. It was a slow process and it helped because I dont think I would have been able to put a ton of food down.
That being said even with what little I did re-introduce I rebounded (what you did) about 15 pounds in a week and a half. Some is water weight, but a great majority of it is your muscles refilling with glycogen (IMO). Sure you will get a little bloat look oh well. Your muscles will look full and you skin will be tight. I feel you need to take full advantage of the rebound so, eat big, lift hard and sleep like a baby. This is the easiest clean weight gain of your life.

Mine stayed, they just werent as crisp was the difference (water weight)... They should be able to stay pretty tight for a while too once your body levels off from the rebound. But it was weird to see them slowly fade away. Good thing is: you know how to get them back when the time comes

Why don't you just cut like a sane person... ie. eat carbs?

Thats my plan the next time... Keto works, but it was hard on my body! Just my take though.

I agree... you will lose fat fine on keto... but I have yet to find anyone that actually feels as good on keto as they do with some carbs in their system.

I have the same problem that is why I minimize my carbs, and keep the proteins high.

Whether this is true or not I don't know, but if you are really having a hard time finding people that say that try posting this on the KETO forum.

Yup - I gained 12 lbs overnight after my last show. Each gram of carbs hold 4 grams of water.
