I actually think I like that schedule better! It sounds like they are in the same amount of time as ours, just starting/ending a bit differently.
I hate that they have to go back in mid August when it is just insanely hot and humid.
Thanks, Rock! Don't praise my drive just yet. Still only getting maybe 2 lifting sessions a week. Hope to next week get all 3 plus all the cardio.
Thank you, Bob! I am really liking the tri-sets. Not sure what made me think to try them, but glad I did.
Busy can be good! Thanks for stopping in, Dave
5 days of rain? That sucks! That may be even more depressing then like 5 straight cold days.
Rain, stop! Kat needs her sun!!!!!
Ok, so now it's your turn to make my day Thanks, JaiminatorBurning Fat Cells One Rep At A Time

Monday Morning!
Happy Monday morning, y'all! I really hope everyone had a great weekend. It was pretty good here. Weather cooperated all weekend, which is always a huge plus. Both the boys had baseball games on Saturday. The 10 year old's team tied. They were down most of the game and came back and tied the score. For the second time in 2 games, my son was stranded on third as the would be winning run. He had a nice game. One for two and a walk. My other son had basically 1 1/2 games on Saturday. They had a scheduled game, then a continuation of another game that got suspended because of bad weather from earlier in the week. They won the normally scheduled game, and he had 3 hits I think. He got majorly robbed in one at bat because he hit a foul pop that the third baseman made a sensational diving catch on. They lost the suspended game. They were up for most of the game, but they were just worn out. By that time it was late in the day, and the kids had already played a game before, so they were pretty tired. And they were short handed. They had 8 players for the first game, and only 7 for the second! Both games they played with 2 outfielders. For the second game, they played without a cather. It's coach pitch, so that isn't a big deal.
Ok...enough about the weekend. Got my workout in today. Can't say I felt 100%, but I wasn't totally dragging either. Here's this mornings workout.
Tri Set #1
Squat: 1 x 8, 2 x 9
DB Shoulder Press: 3 x 11 - not having any shoulder issues right now!
DB Tri Ext: 1 x 10, 2 x 9
Tri Set #2
Smith Machine Bench: 3 x 10 - no shoulder issues here, either.
BB Row: 3 x 10
BB Curl: 2 x 8, 1 x 5 - I just totally lost it on the last set. Funny how that happens sometimes
Tri Set #3
BB Shrug: 3 x 8
Good Mornings: 3 x 12
Knee Raises: 3 x 12
I did seem to run out of steam fairly quickly today, and I wonder if it was because it was really humid in the gym. Not sure, so I'll watch that for my next weight workout on Wednesday.
Y'all have a great Monday!Burning Fat Cells One Rep At A Time

Sorry to hear about the sporadic lfting...but I'm sure lots of people with kids, jobs, families, etc have other obligations. At least you still log, and lifting is still a passion for you! Naw...we have dodge 'em cars
Wouldn't say they are uber sporty. They enjoy playing ball, but I wouldn't say it consumes them. My oldest is gonna be the geeky type. He's really into science and trying to invent things. He's so smart it scares me sometimes. The second one more or less plays just to have something to do. The girl is the most athletically gifted of the three, but it still remains to be seen if she gets into sports beyond gymnastics.
The sporadic lifting has been a combo of busy schedule and severe allergies from the spring. I think they are both settling down now, especially since the kiddos are out of school.
You're the coolest, Jaime
Thanks, Barbie! You know the excitement a parent gets from event the lil ones do, be it sports or whatever.
Howdy, Cynthia!
Tis was a cardio Tuesday.
Patience my good man.

Cardio!
Happy Tuesday, Y'all!
This mornings exercise was of the cardio variety:
CARDIO
35 minutes neighborhood cardio
If workouts were dogs, this one would have been a mutt. Basically, it consisted of 35 minutes of walking, jogging, and sprinting. On the sprinting, what I would do was sprint for 3 driveways, then walk for 2. I repeated that about 4 times. I'd also jog some along the way, and of course walk. Nothing super organized, but it was effective I think.

Hi Hoos!
I agree very effective cardio...I do it quite a bit. Both outside and on the treadmill. Plus it helps with boredom. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill
