Lower Back Question
i was Just wondering if anyone would have a solution to my problem.
I find that when i do sit ups or anything where im sitting of the floor leaning backwards (putting all my weight on my lower back) then my lower back aches like hell and almost feels as if my lower back muscles are cramping.
i can do about 25 sits up and then i have to stop for a good 5-10mins until im no longer in pain, and then i can continue.
i dont have any back problems either, does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to strengthen my lower back muscles without constantly being in pain.

you are using your back and not your abs this is why you are having this problem.
Suck your abs into your back so that your back is flat against the floor before you start. Pick a spot high up on the wall and keep looking at that as you contract your stomach muscles.

Could be it's hard to say without being there.
If you lie on the floor and suck your abs in does your back flatten out? Can you get your back to flatten out at all?

Your lower back might be weak comapred to your abs so you should do some lower back workouts to compensate. Try doing leg raises instead of just crunches so your lower back stops hurting.
I used to get the same pain when I started 3 months ago, after some strengthening of my lower back through deadlifts, I can do abs for a long time now.

you don't sound like an idiot at all, it's difficult trying to figure out what's going on and how to prevent it.
your shoulders will naturally lift and roll up.
