    Lightbulb Cliff Bar pre workout?

    I see these things have like 240 calories and 44g carbs and 10g protein. Are they really good for workout even during Cutting?

    Not bad, will definitely help you get threw the workout. as for it on a cut depends on what else you've had that day, and what you'll be having post W/O an the rest of the day. how much sugar?

    most clif bars are pretty weak. they will produce a nice insulin spike, but the portion of protein is meager. that is unless you buy the bodybuilding (or whatever they call it) clif bar which has 20 grams of protein I believe. you may also want to look into balance bars, which are cheap, tasty and have 20 grams of protein as well.
    if you work out hard, the calories in a regular clif bar shouldn't be a problem.

    cliff bars are tainted for me because in high school that's like ALL my friend ate and was constantly trying to pawn them off on me. Now i'm like ugh, a cliff bar. But even besides that i don't think they're that great.

    ya, Cliff Builders bars would be a better option. They also taste better IMO.

    Quick carb sorce, in meaning what? As in just getting a mix of complex carbs such as oats, or are u referring QUICK carb source as simple carbs like fruit?

    IMO, i would have to say a Cliff Bar = a really good cardio type of workout food, all though it can be used for any type of workout.

    I will eat half of one before my long runs which will vary from 7 miles to 10 (I am training for a half marathon) and will eat the other half after I get done. They are great little snack when doing a long burst of cardio

    A quick source meaning a source of carbohydrates when in a a pinch. Whey+Clif preworkout... weightlifting+cardio.
