weights twice a day

i was just wondering if any body has ever tried weight training twice a day?
i know you can't do it for long periods of time and n it needs to be supplemented with a nutritious diet and lots of rest.

but in terms of fat loss, has any body tried it and had good results?

i start my uni holidays soon and jut want to push myself since i'll have a lot of spare time ...

thanks and any opinions will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Jess! Have never lifted twice a day (never even considered it), but would like to know what "uni holidays" are!? Sounds nice...

As far as lifting twice a day, I would assume then that you would be concentrating on different body parts (e.g. back in the a.m., bis in the p.m.)? I guess if you have the time, it may be beneficial, as you would not be rushing through your workouts, making each workout very intense. However, wouldn't exhaustion set in pretty quickly?

The OP is at university, she means university has broken up for holiday/vacation.

hehe sorry, yes i mean i don't have class for 3 whole months!
i guess what i'd be doing is lower body in the AM and upper body in the PM.
yeh i'd definitely imagine it'd be exhausting...which is why i guess i'd only do it for about a week.
i guess there's only one way to find out and thats to try it!
thanks for ur help

Hmmm I can think of better ways to lose fat.... and since you would then have to have a whole rest day after each workout day, it kinda defeats the purpose. You would be better off employing a strict clean diet, training heavy and hard once a day

The key for fat loss is your eating plan...no need to train more than once a day.
