2007 Nissan Maxima $4500
Scam or not?
The car is already at the shipping company in Orlando, Florida sealed and ready for the shipping, which will take about 2 days. I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. I'm very busy with my job and I'm left out of the town so I can't meet in person with you so this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. According with the eBay you have 3 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
Here is how it will work:
1.First of all I will need the following details from you:
- Full Name
- Full Shipping Address
2. After I will receive the details from you, I will forward them to eBay.
3. After they will process your info, they will send us both invoices. The invoice will send you the details on how to make a refundable payment.
4. eBay will contact me and I will ship the car to you. After you receive the car you will have 3 days to test, verify and do whatever you need to the car. If you will buy, then I will receive the payment details from eBay so that I can pick up the money.
5. If you will decide that you will not buy the car, eBay will refund the money and I will have the shipping company come pick up my car. If you wish to make the transaction, please send me the necessary info so that we can proceed. I look forward to hear from you.
Thank you
:\ I am a noob at ebay

a car worth at least 15-20,000 selling for 4500 bucks? In cars there aren't any "steals", just fair prices, great prices, rip offs, and scams.

Her excuse was "She was divorced, and i want to sell the car quick to start over."
Its funny cause she said, she works out of town. Then how will the car remember her of anything if she isn't around.
BTW car is worth more than 20 grand, around 28-30,000
to John Rambo: Lay off the roids, i was just ****ing asking. My friend actually got his 06 Infiniti G35 for 8grand this way.

yea, i dont believe in ebay "noobs". All you need to be prepared for ebay and to not get scammed is common sense. Anything against common sense in everyday situations also applies on Ebay

Makes it sound like a scam, which I'm 99% sure it is without this comment anyway

so the guy is willing to lose 25k, in order so he can sell it "quick"? Absolute B.S. Why would someone need to sell the car quick? If he wanted money fast, he could just bring it in to the dealer and trade it in, and im willing to be that he could get at least 12k from a dealer, or at least over 10k, which is still twice as much as what he wants to sell if for. If the asking price is usually a whole lot less than the dealer trade in price, you have to ask yourself why the person is willing to go through the hassle of selling it to a private person for LESS money than selling it to a dealer, which is pretty hassle free is you are just going in to take what you can get for the car.

This has been a known scam on Craigslist for quite a while now. In fact, if you go to your local CL page and click on the autos for sale link, you'll see that there is now a huge bold warning at the top of the page that offers to ship cars are 100% fraudulent. I go into our local page about once a day to flag frauds.
Bottom line ... if you can't see the car for yourself, don't trust it. Email the seller and say something like "hey, it just happens that I'm coming down to your area to visit some family this weekend. Mind if I stop and have a look at the car?" She either won't respond, or she'll give you some excuse why you can't (like 'oh, I'm going to be out of town this weekend too.').
Scam.

just realize that in any type of sale, people sell things out of personal interest, not to give people deals or do a good deed. If someone is selling something so far below market value that it makes you question why they are selling it for so cheap, go back to the personal interest thing, and it will give you the answer. And the answer is they want to scam you.
