hair cut
I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow at a salon that is apparently one of the best in my area. I get a trim once every two and half years by a family friend, so this is a big step for me to actually attempt to style it.
My hair is really long and wurly (so long that my curls are a mix of waves and curls).
I was thinking of getting layers starting from my shoulders (my hair, when curly, reaches my belly button) and possibly bangs?
http://www.topstars.fr/photos-stars/...house-0006.jpg Basically, I want to be able to do this.
I realize that is probably a weave...would I be making a mistake requesting this hair style? Do you have any advice for a hair cut that's suitable for long curly/wurly hair? My biggest fear is I'm going to hate it. I'm getting a haircut for a mild esteem boost, but a bad one will destroy it =P

that style is really nice and would suit most people i would think.
i suggest you get your hair trimmed more often then once every 2.5yrs as the more trims you get the healthier your hair is and the quicker it will grow.
Im trying to grow my hair to atleast my belly button, but im begining to get sick of it and i am im contemplating chopping it all off. :S

Mine is down to my hips when it's straight. I pretty much stopped cutting mine when I was 14. If it weren't for the fact I straighten it maybe once a year and never blow dry it, I'm sure it'd be a lot more damaged.

Hey hun! I have long hair, I want it to be like that too, it's so sexy! The trick to growing big thick hair is CUTTING OFF EVERY BIT THAT IS DAMAGED!! That's the only way your hair will grow healthy.
Because I have black hair, I massage this ancient indian oil called Dabur Amla in my hair 3 times a week, and my hair has grown so fast and thick ever since I've been doing that! But the thing with the oil is that it makes your hair darker over time for some strange reason.
Also, oily fish is good for your hair too! (Eat it, don't put it in your hair LOL!!!)

no not mad, just don't understand how a certain color of hair can be made to grow faster by applying something to it. i guess if you're blonde it won't work right?

Nooooo. what I meant was that with this specific oil, it's better to rub it in dark hair because it makes your hair darker over time!
