So i'm on my school's wrestling team and i'm trying to get my b/f as low as possible. A friend of mine went 3 days without eating anything but water. I've heard mixed messages about fasting. Can some give me some solid advice plz.

You will not lose much fat, just water and glycogen which will come back as soon as you start eating again. Any more than 3 days is just plain dangerous, hell I wouldn't do that for a single day.
Conclusion? You will lose a bit, but very little fat. I'm too busy to dig up sources someone else may want to help

Without energy (proper nutrition), your body will use muscle for energy. So you will lose muscle & strength, some fat but mostly muscle. Fasting is actually one of the worst things you can do to our body in the long run.

A 3 day fast should be fine if you feel well throughout the 3 days. It pretty well cleans your body out. Like the guy above said, anything more than 3 days is just bad. However, peoples went longer for religious reasons.
