I am lost..
I recently have gained a whopping 50lbs in the past 6 months.
Not only was I trying to lose weight when I was only 145lbs, now at 190lbs I'm crushed.
I work in IT, so I have a typical desk job.
I work 8:30-5 (sometimes later) M-F
Monday and Wednesday I have class 6pm-9:30pm, Tuesday class 7-9:30pm, Thursday & Friday off, Saturday class at 9am-11:30am, Sunday is off.
Now I know what you're thinking "8:30am that's PLENTY of time to hit the gym)
Well I live in a little town with one gym that is INSANELY expensive, any other gyms are 30-40minutes away, and I work 30-40 minutes away as is.
Anywho, another issue what to eat. Some days I don't get to eat lunch while I'm stuck at a client. How do I combat that?
It's hard to eat right when my girlfriend can eat whatever she wants and be skinny.

For eating properly, hit the nutrition section.
If you want to lose 2lbs per week, eating -1000 calories a day from your maintenance to maintain a 7000 calorie a week deficit.
You have to figure out your maintenance level but there are some calculators online that help you aim for that.
Try doing some jogging to up your metabolism, it helps I believe. Aim for 1-2 miles a day? Or do a combination, of running walking and jogging.
& last thing
You dont HAVE to hit the gym to lose weight.

Sorry to hear about gaining all that weight..especially in 6 months. I know how it is with the girlfriend. Mine always wants to eat out or munch on sweets, even though she really needs to lose some weight. Definitely post a thread in the nutrition forum for a good diet to fit your needs. Any spare time you get you should try jogging, walking, swimming if you have somewhere, riding a bike, do some pushups or something for help out your chest, do some ab work. Whatever you feel comfortable doing. You don't need a gym. It helps, but you don't need one. I wouldn't go as low as 1000 calories a day. You should be consuming 10 calories per pound of body weight just to maintain. So you should probably cut it down between 1400-1600 to help lose. If you go to low in calories a day, your body will actually start storing what you take in because it thinks it's starving. That will prevent fat loss if not increase your weight. A good clean cut diet with some steady amounts of exercise outside or inside if you want to jog in place while watching tv or whatever you like. It'll help you greatly.
