I'm not really sure why but the line is definitely blocking better for leftwich, and a couple of WRs dropped Roethlisberger's passes. Just a bad game for him really.
edit: although i am pretty impressed with leftwich so far

im liking leftwich. he seems very poised and is playing well.
if anything, it was a good pick up.

No offense, but this shouldn't even be a question.
If healthy, Roethlisberger is your starter in every single instance. The Steelers are lucky to have had great depth at QB for years now. I feel comfortable with Leftwich coming in (just as I did with Batch), but it's Big Ben's team.
It's just so damn unfortunate that the Steelers have a high school offensive line. Any QB on that team is bound to get hurt.

Ben has been playing hurt for sometime now. But that still doesn't excuse him for his poor play in recent games. If he is hurt, he should let the team know and take some time off.
Great job by Byron on filling up for Ben. Ben there is absolutely no Qb battle, when Ben has recovered, he will take over the team.

Leftwich is a commendable backup QB similar to the Gmens David Carr, once a starter, now a prominent backup. Thats it.

Leftwich is finally healthy and he did show a lot of poise under pressure. Ben is still the better QB though.

Why is this even being discussed? The Steelers are built around Roethlisberger and that won't change. Leftwich is a good backup with starter experience so let's leave it at that.

I'm sure there is a reason Big Ben is the starting QB, but he couldn't really get **** going last night.
It was a good thing the Steelers have such a good D and that Leftwich came in, because Ben wasn't producing at all.
Last night....Leftwich > Roethlisberger

Big Ben wins you a superbowl, takes you to the playoffs. I dunno what his passer rating is, but im sure its decent. and along comes one guy who has 1 GOOD HALF A GAME. And you wanna switch QB's?

He was a Wisconsin Badger QB, what do you expect? They always have weak armed, mobile QBs. Honestly, I am stunned he ever made an NFL roster. It just goes to show you how weak the depth is at QB in the NFL.

Dude, I totally called that **** before it happened (I'll bet a lot of people did).
I was watching the game with a friend and when Bollinger was warming up I said, "If this guy goes in, he'll throw a pick on the very first pass".
