You're too dumb to sell gym memberships.
Not hard at all, and it all depends on what field you're in. I can name you off literally over 25 people off of the top of my head who have zero college or post-secondary educational experience that bring in six figure incomes. I can name you off about 5-10 more that have six figure incomes, and didn't even graduate high school.
Ok.
OP-I would say on a very loose scale, that would be above average. But again, it all depends on which field you're in.Last edited by J_Howard; 10-31-2008 at 05:24 PM.

We're talking COMPLETE average. As in, we're still counting the 25 year olds that still live off mommy and daddy, work minimum wage jobs, etc.
Now, if we're talking the average salary of a 25 year old straight out of college, that would be different I suppose.
Most that I know are contractors. For example, my dad's framing contractor will end up drawing a rough seven figure net revenue at the end of the year...after overhead and other expenses are paid, he'll normally pull around $150K-300K. He's 31, and started framing in his early 20's doing simple deck work. Even our electricians, plumbers, etc. all make upwards around $70-90K.
I also know a couple local remodeling contractors that can easily pull six figures, even in today's construction decline.
Other than that...I know a couple welders, electricians, drillers, etc. that work on oil rigs that make six figures.
It just all depends on what you're doing, or what you're trying to do with your life."Courage without a conscience is a wild beast."-Robert G. Ingersoll

Holy high school pregnancy. Anyways, your post is believable; independent contractors and tradesmen can make bank if they choose to work a lot.
I know a couple people working on rigs who make 6-figures and they're some of the least educated people you'll ever meet. All it takes to make money is work ethic.***i rep back if you're 1000+. Request it in rep comment.***

All you guise bragging about making that much or more without a college degree: how many hours do you work and how long did it take for you to get to that level?
I made what the OP makes 3 years ago and my job is in a stress free office environment where I mainly sit in front of a computer for 40 hours a week (actually, sometimes less). About 1/4th of that time, I'm miscing.
Blue collar jobs can make decent bank for sure. But you are actually *working* compared to what people with college degrees in a worthwhile field do. After several years when you own you're own company or something, you can hand off the bulk of the work to your underlings (assuming you can even handle the task of running your own business) but it's not an easy road by far and you're busting your ass the whole time through.Last edited by WWE-TicK; 10-31-2008 at 06:54 PM.
