Squat, Sprint, Sleep
hiit exhaustion :(
i don't do very much cardio, and never have, because i have been skinny fat all my life and have focussed on gaining muscle. i am now pretty happy with the lean mass i have gained through doing two bulk cycles and would like to cut a bit before a short, clean winter bulk
i have never done hiit as many of bb.com members have. i don't have the endurance, or maybe cardiovascular fitness, to do 30secs on 30 secs rest, or even 20 secs on 40 secs rest.... i do 15-20 secs metaphorical-balls-to-the-walls and then rest for as long as i feel i need to, sometimes up to a full minute...
i recently started using superpump 250, which has been awesome for my lifts and giving me energy for hiit. i did hiit this morning, about two hours after a HUGE breakfast, had atleast 54oz water beforehand and then about 8oz water with superpump 30 mins before hiit
i did 12 minutes, felt TERRIBLY exhausted, got really dizzy in the shower...
am i just not fit enough? when you say you go as hard as you can during hiit, do you really mean that? am i pushing myself too hard?
i am just frustrated... i am trying to put more cardio in, do not want to do steady state because i prefer hiit and don't have much time in the mornings... what is the problem here?
have been working out on/off for years, but like i said, never did much cardio...

I would say you just did a good job however yes be careful and build up your endurance
so for eg do five sprints and leave it as that - the next time do six and so on so forth. Then move on to something different or take it down to medium intensity.
You will soon find you will build up your cardiovascular endurance.

Bulking
Does superpump contain a stimulant? Between being not ready for HIIT and caffeine you can really amp yourself up. The good news is your diet means far more in terms of dropping body fat. Just do like Mindi said and keep your diet in check. And no passing out in the shower!

awesome, thanks for the input... superpump gives me a huge burst of energy (stims yes), so i was able to hit the sprints harder and i felt awesome during but i guess i just pushed too much
i have been doing hiit on and off for the past three years, but have been inconsistent like i have been with ALL cardio lol... i just find it so much more rewarding to push myself during lifting sessions. you can just look at yourself in the mirror and psyche yourself up for it, cardio makes me feel weak. maybe i will just make my goals more cardio oriented, now that i have built some decent strength

What you are describing it exactly what HIIT is meant to be like - it's meant to be so hard you feel like puking! You will get fitter and find your body adapts a bit better though. Keep it up and you'll be glad you did
