I'm currently 190 lbs / 5'7" and have been lifting for the last 3 months. Over the past few years, I've been steadily losing weight from around 330 lbs. I've noticed that there are distinct "lines" in my stomach region. They are obvious whenever I suck in my stomach. I think it has something to do with doing ab workouts everyday, but I'm not sure. Is this common?
Please let me know!
Thanks

Crunches and Abs while losing weight.. Help!

Okay... here's 2 of the biggest myths in body building (as far as I know)
1.) Don't work your abs every day. They're a muscle, just like all the others. You're not giving them time to rebuild. Try doing it once/twice a week, high weight low reps, assuming you're trying to build muscle.
2.) You lose weight by crunches, yes, but not more or less than if you did another type of exercise. Sure, the increased heat in that region from doing crunches helps, but it's like throwing a match into a jet engine; not really that helpful. Lifting burns about 800 cals/hour, as far as what I've seen. There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want.
