This is weird. No matter how well I wash my protein shaker, the next time I go to use it, it smells like ****. Is this normal? It's the GNC 4 dollar cheapie... is it just the plastic or is it residue from my protein?
I got so annoyed with it that I filled it a third of the way with antibacterial dish soap and washed it. and still. wtf.
I was away from town for 5 days and I went to use it again and I'm pretty sure I found a few maggots in it. No joke. Can I clean it out with bleach or something because I'm too grossed out to drink out of it again.
Yes. seriously.

yeah that **** is hella gross, gnc has new ones out that are "anti microbial"
i'm not sure what's wrong with yours but it sounds like theres a resistant bacteria living in it of some type, i'd either take it back or just buy a new one flat out.
blender bottle ftw btw."Why don't you worry about yours, Let them worry about theirs. I Got Mine" -Lil' wayne

Does it have a rubber coating around the bottom of the top (lol, see wut i did dere?)? Er, I mean. On the inside of the Top-part of the old one I used- there was a rubber coating along the inside where it screws on to the cup part.
This rubber part would collect mildew and such; it was impossible to clean. Either way, I recommend you get a bodybuilding.com shaker.. it's good quality.

win, just trust me. invest the extra 5 bucks and buy it.
it's worth it. no rubber parts make cleaning a sinch.
i throw it in the dish washer after every use so it's perfectly clean
whenever i need it, and has measurements on the side, and blends
like a dream. and you can use it for other **** too. it's one of those products
you look at, and say to yourself.

Mine did this once, found the solition was to get some milton tablets (baby bottle cleaning tablets). Fill the shaker with very hot water, drop in 2 of the tablets, and leave it to sit for a few hours, shake it every so often, then rinse it. Oh, and dont close the lid, the tablets bubble as th disolve, create gas, pressure builds, the lid pops off, and you get sprayed with hot, dirty, stinky water.
