Hiking Conditioning
I play airsoft on the weekends and the field has alot of hills and where I live it gets up to 110 degrees I go to the gym about 5 times a week and walk 4mph on a 5%-8% incline for an hour. 12 rep squats 3 sets and 12 rep leg extensions 3 sets. The hills in this field get me breathing pretty hard I was wondering If I should maby take my reps up to like 25 or 30 reps. What else can to not get so winded?

Run more; do some speed work or some distance training to condition your body, that way you wont get as tired as fast. Upping your reps wont hurt you depending on what you're exercising for; if youre doing it for stamina, then upping your reps wont hurt you at all, but if your doing it for power/mass, or something similar, upping your reps that high is NOT what you want to do.

I play alot of woodsball paintball. Lots of hills, rocks, great terrain. But if airsoft is anything like paintball, then walking isn't going to help. You need to work on sprinting. HIIT workouts and hills (which you can HIIT) are what you want to work on. Oh, and learning to run down a hill and slide correctly is extremely helpful too.
I doubt that your running the whole time. You're probably sprinting your ass to cover, shooting, then sprinting to different cover, etc. Correct?
Also, I like to wear light hiking shoes. Something with some ankle support, but it doesn't have a lot of weight. There's no need for combat boots, anything with reinforcement, or is waterproof. Light=easy to run. Just make sure it has ankle support or you can really screw up your ankle.
Also, stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Before you go out to the field too.
