Few questions about certain foods
OK, so I am not sure if I am allowed to cross post this from another part of the forum, but I was not getting the answers I needed, or rather, the "answer" to the problem. LOL..does than even make sense? Well here goes....
I am trying to understand why when I log certain foods in fitday.com that it is showing that they have carbs in them, when the labels on the food or drink say they have none.
For instance:
Mayo Dukes mayonnaise (regular) says 0 carbs, when I log it in there are .8 per tablespoon or 2 I believe.
Tea: Decaffeinated Tetley says 0 carbs, when I log it in, there are like 3 or 4
My eggs: Egglands Best: container says 0 carbs, log it is and there are trace amounts.
I know the trace amounts, are not that imperative, but the others could make me go over, OR make it to where I can't have anything else...ya know?
Thanks in advance!
Can someone help me with this? Please?

All 100% mayo is zero carbs.
Go by the label and not by some online calculator.

Sweet.....so I am doing right by reading the label and not the internet! Oh man, thank you! If that is the case, then I only less 10 carbs a day....YES! That was goal!
I did drink Tea today from Mc D's **YUCK** but I had to have a drink, I got unsweetened, but I do not drink caffeine anymore (been a while a go I stopped) so that hurt me a little (not for the diet, but myself) but then I logged it in and said I had like 2 or 3 carbs....
I am glad to know it was not!
Gosh darn fitday got me all upset! LOL....

Tea has no carbs. Drink it seeing the caffeine in it will give you a jump start.

Those foods do have trace carbs, but not enough for you to worry about. Eggs have a wee bit of carbs. Mayo has a wee bit because it's made from eggs. The reason they don't show up on package labels is because the government only requires them to be listed if they exceed a certain amount.
For what it's worth, I never count any carbs for eggs or mayo. If you don't count them, you'll be fine. No worries.
***Don't make keto dieting so damned complicated. At least 65% of calories from fat. No more than 25g of carbs per day. Eat when you're hungry. Stop when you're no longer hungry. End of story.***

Both the mayo and the eggs have enough that you might want to reconsider tracking them if your weightloss ever stalls.
It's a labelling issue. If the product is under a certain threshold then they can call it carb free if they want...and they always do.
They do it for the $$.
Splenda and other sugar substitutes are what get alot of people in trouble.

Yes, I found out...I am just glad I did before I started using it in abundance during this diet!
Thanks for the info guys! I am sure glad teas has no carbs, because I am tired of plain water all day and nothing but.....
