Strength loss around time of period
Does anyone else seem to lose strength when they have their period? I find it very annoying.
Today, just like yesterday, and like tomorrow,
I will make the most of my workout.
I will be intense, I will be committed, I will be focused.
Today, just like yesterday, and like tomorrow,
I will push my body to the limit,
I will embrace the hurt, I will embrace the pain.
Today, just like yesterday and like tomorrow,
I will lift heavier
I will get bigger
I will get stronger

Yup. And it is annoying. I just went through an extended period of that as I'm teetering on menopause. That really sucked. I thought that weak period of time would never end

Yep I do occasionally it really does depend on that month though and how I feel about myself.
I just go with the flow... (lol pun probably intended)

Everytime I'm on my period I lose alot of strength and I agree its terribly annoying...sigh....just lower the weight and train as hard as you can.

We are so different ! Me they are my BEST workouts ever. I don't cramp up and the "flow" is very low and lasts barely 2-3 days.

This is why studies haven't been able to show performance or strength issues during this time. Some do, some don't. Some do some of the time, but not other times.

I don't necessarily lose physical strength. I just lose patience and have an overwhelming feeling of "I don't f**king feel like doing this. I'm outta here." It screws me up every time. That mental/hormonal/emotional exhaustion is what does me in.
But then again, I'm not. . .err. . ."normal" so I may be the wrong person to answer this question. LOL!

Normal is all the above problems....emotional, physical and physiological. Lol we defineately get the short end of the stick. The period just messes with you from all angles lol. Wish mine increased my focus during that time.
