Pics after my cut
Here are some pics from last winter. After these were taken, I started on a mass building program. Am up 30 lbs so far. In these pics, I am 165 lbs at 6'1, which is really light (195 bs now). I thought that I would look more cut at that weight, which sucked a bit. Let me know what you think. I will post updated pics soon.

Some good size, although for 6'1" you don't look 165lbs
How long before was this one taken, it was the tattoo that made me curious.

Your legs are probably sticks, but good upper body.

The tattoo is old. Around 8-9 years. I would not do it again, but don't regret it either.
My legs are actually pretty good - around 26 inches.
For some reason, I am lighter than I look - Even at 195 I look at least 210.
My waist in these pics was under 30 inches, so the lack of abs was disappointing.

I just realized the point of the second question - both pics were taken on the same day. The first one ended up flipped, so it looks like the tattoo is not there in the second pic.

good beach body mate, only thing i would suggest would be some more direct abdominal work, i think your abs could be more visible at your current bodyfat, - Jim

Thanks for the feedback. I never used to work abs because I believed that low body fat would be enough. I now realize that this is not the case, and I have spent the last 5 months working them hard twice a week. Its working well, although my bf is a bit higher now than it was in these pics.

Thanks man for the encouragement. I get frustrated that I have not achieved more, especially when I see the huge guys on the boards.

I don't really think of myself that way, but thanks for the compliment! I'm working hard to get there.

you look very good for 165@6'+ so adding more weight eill not hurt your cuts if you eat clean and well. You will go far in this sport!!

Easiest advice is to clean up your diet and increase exercise. Unless you are currently decreasing your waist size, you are eating too many calories for your current level of exercise. You should talk to a trainer and get a diet plan and exercise plan and then push harder than you are now. I have worked a little with a trainer and taken some programs from magazines - which is great if you don't want to pay for a trainer.

Thanks. I'm focused on adding size to legs, delts and traps. I have also gained in the arms, which I was not focusing on, and the stomach (about an inch). I don't think its possible to avoid getting a little fattter, so I'm OK with it.
Legs are up enough that I can't get some of my pants past my knee, so it is working.

I know that I am contributing to this thread more than anyone else, which is a bit sad, but I wanted to mention that I am 37. Proves that you can still make gains in your thirties.

Hey man...good work! I started a few months ago at 34. I honestly had no idea that decent size could be put on after 30 till I started seeing transformations like yours on here.
Keep it up!
