what can i do to increase my and grip strength? i know about reverse curls and behind the back wrist curls and winding up a rope tied to a weight...but they don't seem to be increasing my hand or grip strength.
and those little grip machines for you to squeeze on at like walmart and academy suck they don't do squat.

I started deadlifting recently and my grip strength really shot up. You could also try doing wrist curls...

Try some of these

Also the good old plate pinch

This is true, do not spend to much time on it. Maybe just a few grip excercises at home on your off days or at the end of a workout. My powerlifting and death/thrash metal log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141720221&p=843503391&posted=1#post843503391

Thick bar work, plate pinches, hexhead dumbell holds will all help for grip strength. But to help out even more, here you go- http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=2778361
