Muscle milk targets people who are new to bodybuilding workingout with little knowledge of supplements do NOT let them get you.
No doubt the most overpriced broadly consume supplement. Try to think of it as that Vitamin Water ****...I mean come on give me a break.
Becareful they target the young and dumb or number 3 guy. The guy puts on weight [probably because he is old not because of muscle milk.

Optimum 100% is a blend of isolate, concentrate, and hydrolysate..
Muscle Milk is fine for cutting, just remember to factor in the fat calories with your daily intake.. It's all from MCT's so fat gain won't even be an issue.. I've used Muscle Milk while dieting for a show, leaned out with no problem, and was even fuller when I stopped..Damn, Son!

Is Muscle Milk any good????
-I think Muscle Milk is overrated. I bought 4 tubs about 8 months ago and they don't taste as good as everyone claims they do. I still have 2 tubs that are nearly full. It's okay, but it is better for those on a bulk as well. I'd stick with a good Whey protein like ON 100% Whey and add 100% Casein if you need a blend. Personally, I like using Vitamin Shoppes Whey Tech Pro 24. Caught it almost a year ago when it was on sale Buy One Get One Free and I stocked up on 5lb tubs. I mix that with ON 100% casein which doesn't taste the greatest, but its a quality product.

I've tried a few 5lbs tubs of Muscle Milk in my early years and although the taste is amazing, I'm not sold on its MCT or the human mother milk crap. It's nothing more than a marketing gimmick and a confused blend of different proteins. It certainly does not deserve a #5 spot on Top Sellers. Way too many people are concerned about taste. Don't get me wrong, nothing cynical about a good tasting supplement, but if taste is all you care about in a protein, go get a freakin milk shake from Steak n' Shake--you'll probably see more gains.
Nothing personal against Cytosport or Muscle Milk. They're just doing their business much like MuscleTech/BSN. But doesn't everyone want quality over taste? Duh! This is bodybuilding, not Iron Chef. Do yourself a favor and get a quality whey and a quality casein. There, you just have yourself a higher quality Muscle Milk and probably cheaper too--it just won't taste as good (God forbid).i take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism

case in point remains that any food that you intake when cutting needs to fit into your caloric goals. also muscle milk contains casein protein which is beneficial to hold nitrogen retention in your body (maintain your muscle mass, anti-catabolic) as well as whey protein.
if you need more leeway in fitting it in your caloric goal for the day then consider muscle milk light.
it is important to realize that muscle milk is designed as more of a meal compared to ON whey which is basically just protein. and your body needs more than just protein to function and be at the best physique possible.
something you could do is get a cheap whey protein powder for post workout and use the muscle milk for other times where you are need of more a meal replacement.
also consider Ultra Peptide by Xtreme Formulations for a whey/casein blend that would be great for your needs!i rep back 1k+
