    How do you get HARD muscles?

    I workout more than my friend, alot more. Yet my muscles are not hard like rocks, yet he hardly works out and his arm muscles are huge, and hard like rocks. All of his muscles are. Yet mine, eating good, working out often, are soft, not rockhard, while his, crap food eating muscles are freakin' beast like.

    What gives? Makes me want to give up. I spend so much on food, protein, etc, yet my muscles are pliable, soft, and not rock hard. How do you get rock hard muscles? We are both 19 yrs old btw.

    Mine is lower than his. I'm lean. He has a little more fat. Granted, he does have a bigger build than me overall.
    I'm 5'9" and 180 lbs, he is 205 lbs and maybe 5'11" but mostly all muscle.

    Your muscles will be ''hard'' for 10 mins.

    and OP, muscles are soft when unflexed and hard when flexed. Having more fat will give them the ''soft'' feeling. Try cuttin to <10% BF, but I really don't see the point of having ''hard muscles''.

    You don't seem to understand, but you get a pump, blood is rushed to the muscle.

    Everytime that happens, the muscle needs to compensate for the lack of blood flow and thus increases capillary density and number of capillaries and you will naturally have more blood stored in your muscles.

    Were Arnold's muscles hard? Even male clients that I train, when showing form, I feel their triceps, they are hard as rocks. Yet mine are not? What gives? Is it just my genetic makeup?

    unless you are flexing your muscles won't be hard. They might be a little bit harder if your have a pretty big pump.

    Noone sufficiently answered the question. Do you yourself have rock hard biceps, for example? Or are they only moderately hard and still kind of soft?

    You are a ******* tard. They are telling you exactly how to get rock hard muscles. You have to work out and get a pump. The pump leads to more capilarries which means more blood which means not only bigger and faster muscle growth but harder (because of blood flow when you flex)

    To get hard muscles

    Look the only you can get hard rock muscles are if you cut down to low body fat, do alot of reps on the excesize and also when you finish the excercise hold the posiiton eg when you doing chin ups when you finfhsed the set go back to the top and hold your self at the top of the chin up bar for as long as you can this will allow blood flow into you muscle and then slowly go down form the chin up up dont drop. do this for other things like bicep curls and press ups etc.

    I can tell considerable the difference in hardness (no homo) in my muscle when on/off creatine.


    When on creatine, they get and stay rock solid until I stop taking it regularly. Assuming water density has increased.

    When not on creatine they stay pretty soft, even when flexed, they stay noticeably softer than with creatine.
