I don't think there would be too many rescue swimmers here on BB, your best bet is to go on a CG website with real CG people on the forums/message boards.
Thanks for serving in our Coast Guard btw. It is a great organization to be a part of, you guys do good work everyday.
You been swimming, doing pushups, pullups, flutter kicks, running, burpees or body builders, sit ups, etc. everyday???

I work with ASTs everyday, I was just wondering if there were any on here.
It is a good group of guys so far, I'm very impressed with some of the things I have seen thus far.
I have def added swimming to my workout week. Its my weakest point at the moment.

Once my name is a little closer to the top of the school list, I will be able to start working with them and working out with them.

Good swim technique is key. If you don't have good techinque, it'll really slow you down.

I hear you. Its alot like running which I did ALOT of in high school, its all technique, trying to get the most results for the least amount of effort. Its going to be quite the learning curve when I start swimming with those guys, there animals. haha

Its a really pretty place, its just WAY different than where I'm from. Its too small town for me. Not enough people, not enough things to do. I'm not use to having to drive an hour and a half to get to a walmart. haha
And it rains...and rains....and rains....and rains.....and rains.....and rains
