I have a mild soy allergy. When I drink whey soy protein, my mouth gets irritated bad. What is a good non-soy protein for weight and muscle gain thats not too expensive?

I'm alittle confused. What do you mean exactly when you say "When I drink whey soy protein"? Whey and soy are two seperate protein sources. Are you using a combination product?
If you are allergic to soy, I would recommend whey protein. Generally, people will recommend whey over soy unless there is a specific reason why someone cannot have whey. Whey does not contain any soy products.Current Stack: AOR Ortho-Core / NOW Ultra Omega-3 / Kaizen Whey Isolate / AST Creatine Mono / Xtend

I use and love All The Whey's protein blend of concentrate/isolate for $29.99 (5lb) and they sell pure isolate for like 6 bucks more if you have any stomach discomfort. I do not think it contains soy or many other ingredients for that matter, good luck.

I did not realize Lecithin was derived from soy. That's good to know. I'm wondering how much is actually present in a whey powder though.. the description does say 'small amounts of soy lecithin'. Could it be enough to aggravate a mild soy allergy?
I had the impression the OP was using something more like an actual soy based protein. OP?Current Stack: AOR Ortho-Core / NOW Ultra Omega-3 / Kaizen Whey Isolate / AST Creatine Mono / Xtend

that is not exactly true, there are plenty of foods out there without soy, a lot of people are allergic to it.
