Weak elbow?? i dont know please help?

    Hiya guys

i have had a problem for the past 6 months now and i am trying to figure out what it is, i think i may need permenant support for my left elbow, let me explain.... at first it was hard to notice and i put it down to muscle exhauston but now i think ive realised what it is, when i am training my chest or shoulders, mainly my chest, i always experience a block(at one point i thought i was stacking to much weight) i realise now my left elbow gives way, and i always have to stop my workout because my left elbow cannot support barbell weight? do you think this is right? that my elbow needs support? i have never had a weak joint... but i have realised now that when i'm training chest, my chest is fine( it could quite happily do another 6 reps) but my left arm just gives way, i first thought it could be my tricep but after strength tests my triceps are quite equal in terms of strength and performance, i'm considering buying good quality padded elbow support, does this sound like the right solution ?? thanks

You'll jus be artificially getting the left arm to stay upright a lil bit longer with support. The problem is nothing to do with a weak elbow- you even said you nvr had weak jhoints. The problem is & that6s if it's regarded as a problem-your right arm is stronger than your left. If you doubt it test them with bicep curls- no doubt your right arm will curl more than your left. Curl heavier weights easier. It's jus one of those things. You can of course strengthen your left by doing extra reps etc- building it's strength & stamina (endurance)

If one arm is much weaker than the other maybe you should consider doing more dumbell exercises? It might be wise to start of on higher reps and gradually increase the weight and drop the reps down when you've built up the strength on your weaker side.

    thankx

thanks guys for your feedback, i maybe should rest.. but refering to one of the reply's... that where the confusion comes from... on bicep curls, tricep pushdowns, my left arm keeps up with whatever my right can do?? so i dont see why that changes whilst doing bench press?(refering to one point of having weaker left arm) and there is no pain what so ever when it gives way not even a "burn" in my muscles just the sheer fact that my bone/joint(well thats what it feel like anyway) just gives way after a certain weight increase.. if i drop wight back down my elbow is fine again...
