    Weird chest pain when I turn my head

    It only happens when I move my head or position it weird. It hurts on the left side, like I pulled something. Anyone experience something like this?

    yes, usually after a hard workout involving cardio if I've taken some time off. It will go away, don't worry. Dunno what it is though. been about 2 months since I've had it.

    Sounds like you have a case of costochondritis, this is an inflamation of the joints between your ribs and sternum, it usually happens after a cold or strenuous activity. i have had this in the past and the best thing you can do to get rid of it is take 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours as long as your stomach can handle it. Also you need to take it easy for a while and avoid any activities that might aggravate it even more.

    Yeah it goes away after a good night of sleep, but then when I workout again it comes back. Its really annoying, I dont want to stop working out just because of something stupid like this.

    Hi

    I've had costochondritis (ribs inflammation) for the past 8 months..It is pretty annoying...I went from a very good shape to crap after I stopped working out to avoid pain but it didnt help much...went to the doctor...i have been taking naproxin 400 mcg for the last 6 months and it relieves my pain but hasnt cured anything..I have stopped lifting and aggravating the area with the pain...I am down to Yoga and Legs workout. I hope this pain will disappear. I have read a lot about this and it could take 2 yrs for this to go away.

    My advice: Patience and avoid any exercise that will stress the paining area. Dont stop working out though if you are a fanatic like me. You'll get depressed.

    P.S. My legs are in the best shape of my life.

    Hey man, to update the thread it was something to do with my left pec muscle. I thought I could workout through the pain but it progressively got worse that I had to stop for about a month and a half until I was certain I was able to get back into the gym. Luckily it was nothing more serious than it was!
