Protein Bars?

Whats your guys position on store bought protein bars. Are they any good. I sometimes have a powerbar, are they healthy at all.

Ive got some from GNC, their brand. They taste great to me w/12g protein. And they crave hunger for a good while

They're mostly glorified candy bars. VPX Zero Impact bars are good, they're the only decent ones I know of that use REAL ingredients.

x2....VPX's actually consist of real food and not an assload of sugar alcohol. Although labrada bars are mighty tasty.

VPX and Detour are the only ones I'll eat. I'd rather just eat real food.

I have a ton of EAS bars, I like the Myoplex bars with 30g. You can get a free sample here, they mail you a coupon and you go to any store and get it free. I have like 6 coupons lol, just use diff emails -cough cough-.

Yeah, I definetly like eating whole foods, but sometimes it is just so damn convenient. Anyways, have you guys heard of powerbar brand, I only eat them once every while. They're prob just full of garbage.

VPX for sure. If they weren't $2.50 a bar....

I really like the big 100 collosal chocolate chip cookie dough bars, but those are really just good tasting candy bars....still a nice treat from time to time.

I like promax bars. They taste awesome with 20g of protein. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough FTW!

I eat them pretty often one a day sometimes. I know that whole foods are a much better choice, but hey they taste good and are an easy convenient way to get protein.

Powerbar makes a lot of different ones....are they the Triple Threat? Protein Plus? Harvest? All of 'em are pretty crummy, I must say

I use em from time to time when I dont have time to eat a whole meal. I've tried, Snickers marathon, Detour, Met-rx, ISS . . I think thats it so far. Met-rx and ISS taste the best I think. Iss Vanilla Toffee Fudge and BIG 100 Cookie Dough!

(there all pretty much vanilla or peanut butter, cause I don't eat chocolate no more)
I have the powerbar protein plus vanilla, or I'll have a powerbar sport bar of either vanilla or pb.

I really like ElevatMe bars they are all organic fruit with upto 20g of pro. but about 36g of carbs. not sure what kind your looking for but they work really well for me

I have had Balance Bars for a while now and think they are great but am thinking of changing to GNC Pro Performance Pro Crunch bars because I can get a better deal for them. Anyone ever had them? What did you think?
