Soup & Stew recipes...
Its that time of year when I love to sit down with a warm bowl of soup. Anyone have an all time favorite soup or stew recipe?
Thanks!

Soup/Stew
This is a quick soup/stew that my husband even enjoys. You change really change up the recipe based on what you have one hand. I made it last night.
Saute a few cloves of garlic, olive oil, white onion, sweet potato, zuchinni and 1/4 cup broth (chk, veggie or beef) for 10 minutes. Add cooked chicken and spicy chicken sausage, rest of broth from can and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Add cumin, chili powdrer, s&P and any other spices. As you can see many ways to change this up, but very healthy and filling with little calories.

Good one! This is a basic base for many soups. Make it your own!
You can sub the chicken broth with equal parts tomato sauce and water or just go fresh...If you like adobo, use low-sodium soy sauce and vinegar!

For veggie soup, try oven roasting your veggies on a baking sheet until tender before adding them to the seasoned broth. Simmer for at least 15m to blend ingredients. So many variations are possible based on fave spices, veggies, added meats, etc.
