Just ordered a lib skate banana, bent metal bindings, banana boat travel bag, and some random soft goods. So amped to ride now, fuark. As long as Sierra at Tahoe gets snow by January this year, my boys and I go on a trip up there every year (have friends that live near tahoe) and last year the resort wasn't even open outside of the bunny hill and bunny park. Ended up road tripping to Vegas instead. About to watch the Art of Flight and go to bed on a snow high, happy shreddin brahs!

"Yo, come on, we’re Arizona State. They wouldn’t give him (President Obama) a degree? Really? I mean, even if they offered him one, he should’ve been insulted. He’d be like, ‘I went to Harvard.’ I mean, come on – I barely went to class, and they passed me. It’s Arizona [expletive] State!” - Terrell Suggs

Dont take this the wrong way, but Bent Metal bindings kinda suck. If i were you i would return them before you use them and upgrade to a different brand. Im a Mervin kinda guy, but those bindings are whack.

Fuark. My buddy hook me up with a discount on Flow bindings, you familiar with any of their bindings? I've been on Ride SPi's the past two seasons and haven't paid any attention to binding options up until now.

I mean, they will get you down the hill just fine, just wouldnt be anywhere close to my first choice.
Im not a fan of Flow bindings either, they arent responsive enough for my taste. In my opinion (and many other riders), some of the best all around bindings are Burton Cartels, Union Forces, and Rome Targas. Burton and Union stand alone as the 2 best binding manufacturers in the game if you ask me. Best ratchets, adjustability, quality, etc.
Both of those companies make several models of bindings that i would absolutely ride. The Burton Cartels, Missions, and Malavitas are sick. Union Forces are basically indesctructible, the Atlas, Contacts, and Chargers are also killer.
I'm probably going snowboarding one day next week. I don't have any material here though, so I'll be renting material. Problem is I don't even have snowpants (far away, at home I have perfect material, so I don't wanna buy it here).
You guys reckon jeans with sweatpants on top of them will work, or will I just dun goofd when it gets wet?
Hitting up Santa Fe and Taos later this week. Can't wait to finally snowboard on some real mountains instead of those bluffs and hills back in the midwest.

Skied but not snowboarded. Plenty of lifts and runs, but it can get a little busy because it's fairly popular with the wealthier crowd. Still a good time though.

If I've learned two things they are...
1. Jeans and sports don't mix. Not even for horseback riding because they rub at the horse's sides and cause sores.
2. There is nothing worse than wet jeans. Especially in the cold. Add sweatpants and you're just asking for pain.
Warrior in green. Never give up. Strong is the new skinny.
Learnt to snowboard this week in Switzerland, pretty bummed though cause I live in Perth, so I won't be able to do it again for ages. Anyone else live ages from snow but still snowboard?

Going to Boyne Mountain in Michigan next week, $99 all you can ski for the whole week. Small mountain but close to me and does the job on the cheap. Tons of snow so it should be in great shape. Still skiing, still Volkl, have a board but prefer skis.
I had completely forgotten about this thread over here since the Misc Ski thread was started. thought I would share my video from my trip to Winter Park a few weeks back.
Also, i just snagged a new Mountain Hardwear jacket from steep and cheap for over 50% off...i wish my friend had never showed me that site. i'm going to be addicted now
