    pushups after chest exercises?

Is it ok to do pushups the same day as i work my chest and triceps? I know youre not supposed to do aerobic exercises after weightlifting because it could burn off gains. So are pushups similar to this because they are low resistance and high repetition. I have been hitting the gym to work my chest in the afternoon then doing around 200 pushups before i go to bed. Is this proper to do? Any other advice on how to work pushups into my weightlifting routine would be appreciated. I am trying to prepare myself for basic training i leave in december

    Thumbs up

    Absolutely.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I like doing them a day after my chest workout, the lighter intensity helps with recovery.

    Better if done next day

I always do the pushups the next day of my chest exercises... as it helps you to recover easily and gain strength
Check out my progress and how I went from 157lbs to 191lbs in 9 months..
