need honest feedback

I competed in the Ironman in Wa over the weekend and I coudn't stay long enough to get good feed back from the judges, there where 14 girls in my hieght class and I placed 5th, I don't know how to go about getting feedback from them, I tried e-mailing the promoter but he wouldn't respond back, I just need to know what I need to work on to get better. so I'm coming to you guys for critisizm, be nice, but most of all be honest sorry in advanced if I upset anyone for posting their pics. I'm the one in the black suit in the group photos thanks

It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. honesty, i think it was a fair placing, i couldve seen you as high as fourth, but in fitness/figure you have to be very critical with the way that your physique looks, because theres a certain look that the judges are looking for in these classes, but from what i noticed, you could try to come in with a tighter mid-section and if you could bring in your waist line some, also you could work on your back width and a little more back thickness, and maybe your shoulder width, other than that maybe a little more ham thickness and outer quad sweep and your conditioning just a tad more..

Everything he said x 2. You upper body conditioning was really good. But there's some genetics there that you are working against. That being that you have to be super shredded up top for you legs to come in. Just keep working at it. You look great!

I'm trying to figure if your number 35?
If so I can see the upper body size issue.
Also the I hate to say this the blocky waist. I think thats why others have said more back width and shoulder width ans size.
You kinda need the additional size so when you diet harder to get your legs smaller your upper body does not dissapear. You undstand what we mean by this. Also your suit could be pulled up higher on the sides. The devel is in the detail. It all counts.
Now don't get me wrong you look great. But at any given show there often can be bigger and better. You have to bring the best you can be that day. From there the judges take over.

You look good, be proud of yourself you did well regardless of your placing.

Remember two things always:

1. Judging is Political
2. Everyone has room for improvement

I don't think there is anyone who has ever competed who has not been placed unfairly.

My quick look over your photo's my suggestions for your next comps are:

1. GO FOR IT GIRL YOU LOOK GREAT
2. Train your legs till they die!!!! Shred them for next comp.

i think overall you have a good look..i judge NPC and OCB shows...and it really depends on what the head judge is looking for that day...with you..i would go as high as 3rd..you needed more def. in the back, legs needed to be tighter...ass coulded of been tighter...and i dont think your suit did you justice..blondes i would go with a royal blue maybe...definately not black..or even a red...but over all you have a great look..just need to come in a little tighter!

Thanks everyone for your inputs, I'm not saying that I was judged unfairly, juest needed feedback since I didn't get the chance to talk to the judges, you guys are right w/ everything, I needed to come in tighter in the lower half, so that means a longer cutting phase, I only had 12 weeks of cutting. your input really helped me figure out what I needed to fix for my next show... whenever that will be! You should be really proud of a top 5 finish in that big a class - thats awesome!

I hate the 12 week prep standard number. I think for us women who are battling estrogen/lower body fat dominance we just need more time. I know you said you only had 12 weeks and it is what it is but I know for me to get my legs to really come I diet for months (Typically 6ish - ugh) very tactically - I'm a bber so my legs have to be retardedly lean and my upper has to stay intact (now if I could just stay leaner in the off season!!)

Now back to you - work on opening your lats more on your front poses. Your waist does look too thick but you aren't as open to the front and you are from behind and that will help your look for sure. Also wear your the sides of your suit bottoms higher it will help visual slip your legs. As you dial in differently for each show, you have to play with how you pose to make sure you are showing off what you have at the moment and camoflaging as many weaknesses as possible. I'm guessing a little leaner and your legs will rock - i'm sure there is a ton of mucle lurking - NICE!!!

thanks, I am proud of myself, 5th out of 14 is a big # well I thought 12 weeks would do it but I guess I was wrong...I should have started sooner but its all about perfecting things from show to show, you can only get better right? I'm going to do 15- 16 weeks out, that should give me another month to lean out the legs, I'm wondering if there are any supplements that us women can take that have the Estrogen Dominance/lower body fat trouble that could help w/ this leaning out process?

I think you looked absolutely gorgeous up there. As for what you need to work on, I think the others covered it really well--overall tightness in the waist and lower bod...your upper body rocked. In fact, I am so jealous of your shoulders! What's your secret? I have a really hard time with them.

I agree with you about 12 weeks not being enough. It would probably be less stressful to start shredding earlier, but have it be very gradual. What's the next show your planning on doing?

Unfortunately I'm done competing in the NW, My husband is military and we are moving to the East coast so I don't know when I'll be competing again. So this is a perfect opportunity to build up my weaknesses till I can figure out what I'll be doing next

As for leaning out...I actually leaned out a little too much and had to worry about getting some back the last week. I end up loosing too much mass. I was hoping to compete at 135-6 and I ended up competing at 132, and I'm 5'9, so that's too much. Anyway, what I did was keep my carbs and diet very consistent. I would drop like 10 or 20 carbs up to the show, the last weeks (8-11) being around 140g. But I pretty much didn't deviate, accept for 3 cheet meals, the last 12 weeks. I know it's boring, but that way I had complete control. I did go overboard with it though...A balance needs to be struck and, I had my carbs too low for the amount of work I was doing. I mean, I had 2-3 hour workouts, plus 60 minutes of cardio six days a week.

Just wanted to add my 2cents...

First and foremost you look amazing!! If I were you, I would work on toning my legs more. I would likely do high rep/low weight squats and hack squats along with some quality stretching Get those legs shredded! Congrats on your current condition, the hard work shows. Good luck.

WOW, thats alot of hrs in the gym! well like I said, practice makes perfect... you can only go up from there My body seems to love holding on to the fat, but I didn't lose any muscle so that was a plus.

First and foremost you look amazing!! If I were you, I would work on toning my legs more. I would likely do high rep/low weight squats and hack squats along with some quality stretching Get those legs shredded! Congrats on your current condition, the hard work shows. Good luck.
Thanks for your 2 cents I love getting peoples feedback. YES I really want to get these legs shredded for next show, as long as I give myslef more than 12 weeks to prep, I think I can do it.
