    If I'm farting, have I had too much protein?

    If I'm farting a lot, have I had too much protein? After my workout, I'll have my protein shake with oats ank milk, and the protein comes out to about 36 grams. 61 if you add Chocolate whey. I fart uncontrollably. Yesterday I did it w/o chocolate whey, and the farting was still there, but considerably less.

    Point being, so long as I'm farting a lot, should I cut down on protein?

    i just started adding milk to my diet about 2 weeks ago and i got what i call the milk farts. choco milk has made it worse

    Try mixing the protein with water or juice. You can also try Soy or Rice milk. Gas is usually from the Lactose in Milk. The protein will not make you have gas. Do you get bad gas eating a bunch of chicken???

    Protein whey was definately the cause of my farts, i had 2 or 3 shakes a day and id fart all day every day, at work, in meetings, at home, in bed, in the pub

    always loud long farts

    it wasnt only farting either, i was crapping 3 or 4 times a day

    its so bad i had to stop having protein shakes.

    I drink weight gain only now and its still 40% protein or something like that but my farts are no where near as bad

    Also, for me, switching over to whey protein isolate (Dymatize) has significantly made me alot less gassy, and they also don't smell as bad either

    never heard of the protein farts? shakes use to make me fart like crazy but i got used to it i guess. now its just the milk.
