Bmr?

Hey. i kno this question probaly gets asked alot, but i cant seem to find the answer im lookin for, so im hopin somebody can fill me in. I used one of the calculators on bodybuilding.com to find my bmr and it told me my average bmr is 1837 calories tho another one told me 1989. if i run 3-4 times a week(30 mins) and lift four times a week, should i be eating less then this to lose fat? or do i eat alil more then this bc im working out and these calories are burned during rest? im sorry im so confused tho! please help!

Im just a beginner, so take it with a grain of salt, but I had the impression that the bmr number is the number you should not go below or else it might trigger your body's starvation mode. Its the maintenance calorie amount that you want to lower a bit. I have also read that you should not have more than a 1k calorie deficit (amount subtracted from maitenance plus amount burned in exercise) a day for healthy weight loss.

BMR is your resting metabolic rate. It's how many calories your body needs if you stayed in bed all day. Your maintenance calories are what you need to eat to keep at your current weight. If you want to lose body fat then you need to eat below maintenance but above your BMR.

Hate to say it, but it's tough to lose body fat and grow muscles with so much running.
